Crimson Catering provides full service catering that strives to present the best products and services to our customers. Here are our ordering guidelines that we feel will be a helpful tool when planning your next event.
Ordering Guide Lines
There is a 12 noon cut off for the following day. Note: Any request made within 48 hours of the event is subject to availability. On occasion we may not be able to fulfill these short notice orders based on high volumes of business thus we suggest you place you orders well in advance.
Delivery Information
- Business Week Day-7am-5pm – Complimentary deliveries will be provided to our customers that meet our $100 food minimum per order/delivery
- Deliveries/pick up's after 5pm & Weekend Deliveries – Delivery is complimentary for each delivery over $1,000. Should you have multiple deliveries this minimum per delivery will apply. Should you need delivery for smaller events a delivery charge will be assessed by your sales associate pending time of day and event duration.
- Late night Event Charge – There will be a labor and delivery fee added to all events that start after 8pm
Delivery Location Access: We require access to your delivery location 30 minutes prior to your event, Larger events will require additional set up time.
Disposable Service
We offer upscale disposable products that are 100% recyclable. The cost per person is $1.00. This includes all service items needed for your event. We provide 5% additional above your guest count. Compostable Disposables are available upon request at a charge of $1.50 per person. Advance notice is required
Linen Service
Standard Linen
We are more than happy to supply our standard linen for your next events. We stock white and crimson the costs for linen are as follows:
- 6 or 8 foot Table-draped to the floor $25
- 60 inch round table (90x90 Square) $15
- 60 inch floor length white cloths $20
Standard Linen for Meal Service $4.00 per person
This cost includes: cloths for guest dining tables, napkins, linen for tray stands, bread baskets. Buffet linen is extra.
Specialty Linen
We work with a variety of companies that provide specialty linen to compliment your d�cor, theme and personal taste. Our sales team would be more than happy to meet and share our large selection of specialty linen.
Specialty CRIMSON Stripe Buffet/Conference Cloths
- 6 foot table draped to the floor $35
- 8 foot table draped to the floor $55
China Service
We will be more than happy to provide china for your upcoming event. Estimated charges are as follows:
- Breakfast China Service $5-6 per person
- Lunch China Service $6-8 per person
- Reception China Service $3-5 per person
- Dinner China Service $8-9 per person
The above pricing is an estimate of our china service, the price may change based on your final course selections.
Rental of Equipment
We will be more than happy to rent tables and chairs for event venues that require these items to satisfy the needs of your event. Our sales office will be more than happy to provide a quote based on the specific need of your event.
Room Reservations
We suggest that you reserve your event space/meeting room prior to making your catering arrangements. We would be more than happy to make suggestions on rooms available for event/meeting use.
Special Meals/Dietary Restrictions
Kosher, Vegetarian, Vegan and any other special dietary meals can be provided upon request. Additional fees may apply.
Payment Guidelines:
We accept the Harvard University 33 digit university billing code. We also accept Visa and Master card, Certified check or Money Order. Please provide method of payment when finalizing your order.
Service Charge
All events catered through Crimson catering will be assessed a 5% charge.
Mass Meals Tax
5% Mass Meals tax will be charged to all groups that are paying by check or credit card. Should your group be considered tax exempt, please provide our office at the time of ordering a fax copy of your ST2 & ST5 tax exempt forms.
Flowers
We will be happy to order, receive and handle your floral needs. For decorative requests an additional fee will be determined in accordance with your specific needs.
Event Staffing
To ensure that your event is a success, catering staff will be provided for all meals that are hot, served and buffet. The charges are as follows:
- Attendants/Bartenders $30 per hour with a four hour minimum
- Chef's to attend Action Stations $175-up to three hours
- Culinary team to prepare & plate $100-up to three hours
1 per 30 guests/on site events Event Management Fee's $40 per hour (4 hour minimum)
Event & Food Safety
For your safety we require an attendant at all events where flame is in use. Due to food safety regulations it is our policy that there will be no carry out of perishable food not consumed from your event
Food Donations
Any food that is left over from events which has been held within our serve safe food safety guidelines will be donated to the Boston Food Bank.
Guest Count Guarantee's
Guest Counts are due to our catering sales office by noon, 3 working days' prior to your event. During peak event season; Football Season, Holiday Season and Commencement we will require your counts by 5 working day's prior to your event. Should we not receive a call or email with your counts we will use the number you provided on the latest event order on record.
Cancellations
It is our policy that in the event you need to cancel your event, please notify our sales office via phone or email by 12 noon, 3 working day's prior to your event. Should you need to cancel in less than 3 working day's we will charge 50% of the cost of the event. In the event of late cancellations due to severe weather, every attempt will be made to keep the costs billed to the customers at a minimum on a case by case basis.
