Buying at farmers' markets is great for many reasons. You get the freshest possible product, usually picked just that morning. You meet the folks who grow your food, and they can often tell you how to prepare it so it tastes best. You'll have a healthier diet—with produce this good, who wouldn't want to eat 9 servings a day? You support the local economy. Normally only about 17 cents of every dollar you spend goes to a farmer, here all of your money goes to him or her. You help maintain Massachusetts' rural character.
