Scared by the stove? Frightened by the fridge? Knives make your knees knock? HUDS chefs are here to help. Every spring they teach Cooking for the Culinarily Challenged, and spring 2007 saw the launch of new classes as part of the Life Skills program developed by the Office for Career Services. So jump right in! |

Cooking for the Culinarily Challenged prepares seniors to feed themselves in the real world. This four-session class covers the basics from equipping a kitchen to grocery shopping to how to roast a chicken. The class will again be offered in spring of 2008. Cooking Skills for Clever Scholars classes were held as part of the Life Skills program. Students enjoyed these one-shot classes taught in house masters' (and freshman dean's!) kitchens. Chefs covered topics from an impressive date night menu for two to a fun tapas menu of small plates for entertaining. Look for more one-shot cooking classes this fall with HUDS chefs and local chefs. E-mail jessica_zdeb@harvard.edu if you want to be kept in the loop on upcoming classes. |
