Barker Cafe welcomes you weekdays to enjoy pastries, sandwiches, salads and other delectable offerings from renowned local bakery Hi-Rise, and coffee from Counter Culture, a local company that sources its coffees directly from farmers and cooperatives. Teas, drip coffee, and other beverages are also be available.
The programming of curated evening events for the café – performances, exhibitions, readings, and eventually the screening of films – is coordinated under the direction of Liz Maynes-Aminzade and takes place on Wednesday & Thursday evenings. Barker Cafe is an inviting place for the Arts and Humanities community, where students and faculty members can meet to talk about ideas and artistic initiatives, to work together, sip a great cup of coffee, and share in two of the great pleasures of life: collegial conversation and participating in artistic and performance events.
