##  Meal Plans for Graduate &amp; Professional School Students 

Recognizing that food is a universal connector, HUDS has two meal plans to foster and nourish your community experience. Nothing is as unifying as a shared meal!

 

 



 ### The Commons at Lehman Hall Meal Plan

Available to any Harvard affiliate (and required of the Harvard Griffin GSAS residence hall occupants) **for use only at The Commons at Lehman Hall.** The meal plan follows the academic calendar and consists of two (Fall Term &amp; Spring Term) declining balance allotments.

Available to any Harvard graduate or professional school students **for use in multiple designated Harvard University Dining Services Campus Cafes.** The meal plan follows the academic calendar and consists of two allotments of declining balance dollars (Fall Term &amp; Spring Term). In addition, you will receive a 10% discount for any purchase made with your meal plan.

##  The Commons at Lehman Hall Meal Plan 

### Academic Year 2026-27

- Fall Term (Wednesday, Sept 2, 2026-Friday, Jan 22, 2027) - $1,627 in declining balance
- Spring Term (Monday, Jan 25, 2027-Friday, May 14, 2027) - $1,563 in declining balance

Note: The meal plan is for a full year and may not be cancelled. (This sign-up is intended only for individuals not living in Harvard Griffin GSAS Residence Halls.) ### Benefits/Reminders

- Kosher: You may dine at Hillel Kosher Kitchen. Please speak with the manager for further information.
- Special Dietary Needs: Our staff is well trained in managing and assisting with special dietary needs. Please register with Harvard's [Disability Access Office](https://dao.fas.harvard.edu/). They will then connect you with our registered dietitian and dining hall management team to create an appropriate accommodation plan.
- You must always present your ID card at the time of purchase to enjoy a meal at the Commons. ID cards are non-transferable.
- Declining balance dollars will be allocated at the beginning of each semester and will roll over from the fall semester to the spring, if enrolled. Unused declining balance dollars will be forfeited at the end of the academic year.
- The meal plan cannot be used at other professional school or campus cafes, nor at College dining halls.

### House Administrators

The Commons Meal Pool for Fellows, RAs, Staff and Senior Common Room Members consists of a designated number of meals a week (as determined by your role). At dinner, you must simply present your ID for a "swipe." At lunch, you are eligible for a meal up to a $10 value. Any lunch costs above that value can be paid with cash or credit card. Meal Pool participants may only use one swipe per meal period for personal use. Meals may not be used to host guests.

##  GradPlus Meal Plan 

Any Harvard graduate or professional school students may purchase a declining balance meal plan for use in designated Harvard University Dining Services Campus Cafes.

The meal plan follows the academic calendar. You can choose from the Regular or Deluxe plan. The Regular plan provides $100 a month, or to 2 or 3 $10-15 meals per week; the Deluxe plan provides $150 a month, which equals 3 or 4 $10-15 meals a week.

In addition, you will receive a 10% discount for any purchase made with your meal plan.

The fall meal plan runs from September 2-December 17. For late enrollments, please be advised your plan will be prorated. For example, for the Regular plan, if you are enrolled on October 1 or thereafter, you will be enrolled for $300; November 1 for $200. For the Deluxe plan, on October 1 you will be enrolled for $450; November 1 for $300. Funds will roll over from the fall semester to the spring, if enrolled.

The spring meal plan runs from January 4-May 14. For late enrollments (Feb 2 or beyond), please be advised your plan will be prorated. No enrollments will be accepted after April 1 for the Spring 2027 meal plan.

Starting 2/1 Reg: $400, Deluxe: $600  
Starting 3/1 Reg: $300, Deluxe: $450  
Starting 4/1 Reg: $200, Deluxe: $300

Meal plans will be activated on Monday if your enrollment is received by Thursday at 1pm. For example, if you sign up on a Wednesday at 10am, your meal plan will be activated for the next Monday.

Unused declining balance dollars will be forfeited at the end of the academic year (final day for purchases: May 14, 2027; balance cleared on May 15, 2027). There will be no meal plan refunds.

### Reminders

- The meal plan is only available to currently enrolled Harvard graduate or professional school students. The meal plan is not available to faculty and staff.
- Meal plans will be activated every Monday for individuals who completed enrollment by 1pm the prior Thursday.
- The meal plan may only be used for cafe purchases/transactions, not for catered events or tickets (such as graduation luncheon) served outside the cafe.
- Even if you enroll for the entire year, charges will be submitted to term bill only for one semester at a time. Extension students interested in the meal plan should be aware that we do not have access to your billing account and the meal plan must therefore be purchased by credit card using the link on the enrollment form.
- The meal plan follows the academic year calendar. Only the following Harvard University Dining Services’ campus cafe locations are eligible for meal plan use (note: inclement weather may impact location availability):

- Meal plan dollars may only be used for food and non-alcoholic beverage purchases. *(Meal plan dollars may not be used to order a bag meal from GSAS.)*
- Special Dietary Needs: Our staff is well trained in managing and assisting with special dietary needs. You can connect with the [Disability Access Office](https://dao.fas.harvard.edu/), but are also strongly encouraged to self-identify and meet with the HUDS Café Manager as well as the HUDS Registered Dietitian, who will work with you to identify resources in support of your needs.
- You must always present your ID card at the time of purchase to enjoy a meal using your meal plan. ID cards and meals are non-transferable.

### Enrollment Information

The enrollment takes place weekly on Mondays, and you should receive a confirmation email once the plan is active on the following Monday (or the Tuesday following a Monday holiday).
